  • Lily Allen told Elle UK that men are afraid to date her because their worst traits might end up in a song—like the guy whose crappy bedroom skills are immortalized in the song “Not Fair.” Ah, sucks to be him! “I wish I’d never written ‘Not Fair,’” Allen said. “You know, the thought honestly—really, honestly—never even occurred to me that it would scare men. I thought it might empower women. I thought women would go: ‘Oh God, yes, at last somebody is saying it.’ I didn’t think it would put me in a position where guys would be like, ‘Whoa, no, I’m not sleeping with you in case you write something about it!’” [Showbiz Spy]
  • Police say someone threw a bomb at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Lincoln, NE, yesterday but missed the building. Instead, the Molotov cocktail hit and burned the pavement. The incident occurred after two days of protests at a clinic in Bellevue, NE, which is about 50 miles away from Lincoln. [Action 3 News]
  • A Republican candidate for governor in Virginia, Robert McDonnell, wrote in his master’s thesis two decades ago that working women and feminists are “detrimental” to the family and expressed scorn for “co-habitators, homosexuals and fornicators.” He also called the 1972 Supreme Court decision which legalized the use of birth control by unmarried couples “illogical.” On Saturday, McDonnell said his views have changed as he got older. [Washington Post]—As an unmarried, illogical fornicator, I’m still skeptical.

  • Cherie Blair, a human rights attorney and the wife of the former Prime Minister of England, accused the Catholic Church’s position on birth control of holding back career women. At the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Blair said, “I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with [controlling fertility], and indeed without that [ability] to control I wouldn’t have been able to achieve the things that I’ve been able to do.” Blair herself is a devout Catholic and said she has used contraception. [Telegraph]
  • A study of 175,000 Wikipedia users said only 13 percent of people who edit the communal online encyclopedia are women. Among users who only read Wikipedia entries but don’t edit them, women comprise only 31 percent. [Wall Street Journal]

  • A prostitute in London picked up a man she saw outside at 6:30 a.m. one morning and asked if he wanted to follow her for some underage sex. When she led him back to the brothel, Detective Inspector Kevin Hyland let her know he is the Head of Scotland Yard’s Vice Squad and arrested her for prostitution. [The Sun]—Another story leading me to believe prostitution should be legalized.
  • Hilary Lister, a quadripeligic, has become the first disabled female to sail around the island of Britain by herself. [Sky News]
  • A mom in Romania gave birth to a freakin’ 15 lb. baby. [Sky News] Ladies of the world, say a silent prayer for your vag right now.

I’d totally go with Lily Allen! She shouldn’t be apologizing because he sucks in bed, it’d be his own fault for performing badly.
Now take Katy Perry or Heidi Montag for instance…totally cringeworthy.

Often times, heavy babies can be due to gestational diabetes, which also poses a huge risk for the mother. As the mother has more and more children, each pregnancy is riskier than the former, and each baby is born heavier. My aunt is one of 5 children—she being the last child came in at 11 pounds.

Lilly Allen shouldn’t need to have sex after all the satisfaction she’s earned from that amazing song/music video.

My brother, sister, and I were all big babies. They were 9 lbs, and I was a little over 10.  I was a C-section though, because they thought I was going to be 13 lbs!

I’m a little disturbed that she uses the term “empowering.”  Would it be empowering if a male musician called out a girl for being crappy in bed?  Probably not, he’d look like a jerk.  If someone sucks in bed, methinks it’s best to just keep it to yourself, unless the guy is an absolute jerk, and even then, I dunno.  I mean, this isn’t anything new or groundbreaking anyway.
