Thoughts From Guys On Our IM: Internet Stalking
I recently found out via Facebook that my man-friend’s ex-girlfriend (with whom I’ve had a not-so-pleasant experience) is now living in New York, working for a former employer of mine, and is connected to a good friend. This is a major bummer, as it has revived my deep-seeded urge to keep tabs on her. I think the man-friend thinks I am crazy, but I truly believe all members of the human race indulge in a little internet stalking—and to prove it, I decided to quiz the guys on my IM about their habits.

I think stalking exes or people your current partner used to date is perfectly normal. I think it only becomes a problem if you become fixated on that person or check up on them every day.

This is fascinating. I care about people from the distant past in a “hey, what are they up to?” way. But the more recent exes, well, let’s just say I’m glad Facebook doesn’t update every time you search for someone. I kinda just want to know, even if it doesn’t really affect me. I don’t claim it’s healthy per se, but I totally do it.

Dude, if Facebook informed every person I checked up on how OFTEN I checked up on them, I would be in deep ca-ca. I stilll don’t think I’m psycho but I understand I APPEAR psycho,

Oh, Mo-thure?
Internet has no doubt changed my life…
both as the stalkie and stalkette.
Self control is the line I must draw. Or scribble.

as long as you don’t strap on a diaper and drive 1000 miles non stop to shoot the person you are stalking, it is a-okay

I recently stalked my ex-stepfather’s current wife and found out she is [gasp] a Republican. You live with someone for five years and you think you know them.
