This Is What A Beautiful Bride Looks Like
I’m not even engaged and I frequently have thoughts like, “I have to tone my upper arms so they look skinny in my wedding dress!” How screwed up is that?!?! A blogger who actually is engaged and “sick and tired of seeing ads for ‘wedding weight loss,’” started up a blog where brides of all sizes can contribute wedding pics. We hope it’s a relief for blushing brides-to-be needs who’re sick of all the body-hating noise from shows like “Bulging Brides.” [This Is What A Beautiful Bride Looks Like]

I have never seen an ugly bride. Your wedding day is one of the happiest days of your life and that joy radiates out, THAT is what makes a woman beautiful, not what size their dress is.

“Three Fat Brides, One Thin Dress” and “Bulging Brides.” are actually shows?? Jesus, there’s no hope for us.

Oh dear, I had that same exact thought last night. I’m also not engaged, but I was daydreaming (if that’s the appropriate word) about when I did become engaged about how I would go about getting toned up. Ridiculous.
But being healthy and starting an exercise routine isn’t a bad thing.

I always find it crazy when people are like “Omg I have to lose so much weight for my wedding”. Granted white is very unforgiving, but the people in your life love you how you are and obviously so does the man who is to be your husband. Yes you want to look your best but that doesnt mean you need to completely change yourself and lose who you really are.

Being healthy is not a bad thing but size and BMI are rarely a good indicator of health barring extreme cases.
My personal preference is for brides to look like themselves on their wedding day. I chose to wear my hair down and very simple makeup on my wedding day because my husband fell in love with me as I am, I wanted to look beautiful but I don’t think that precludes looking like myself. Plus lets not forget how unhealthy it is to yo-yo diet or lose a dramatic amount of weight in a bad way. All the brides are the site are glowing.

I have seen ugly brides… they are pretty much the basis of the show Bridezillas, and it has nothing to do with weight.

I don’t see how ugly women can be beautiful brides. Beautiful people are beautiful in any outfit and the less fortunate look, well, less fortunate. Putting on a white cupcake gown isn’t some magic dust that transforms you, its just a dress!

Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Brides are beautiful to the people who love them, just like babies, regardless of what others see. I was younger and thinner at my first wedding, but I felt far more beautiful the second time around. Marrying the right person makes all the difference.
