fake blood

Attention “True Blood” fanatics! While it ain’t exactly synthetic vampire blood, it does look a lot like the real stuff—and will supposedly give you a bit of a boost in an energy-juice sort of way. Introducing Blood Energy Potion by a company called Urban Collection: It looks like blood, has similar viscosity, shares the same nutritional composition and comes in a resealable plastic bag ... just like blood! Perhaps the perfect Halloween accessory? Then again, could you actually imagine sipping this or would it totally gross you out? [InventorSpot]

Gross.  I like True Blood but it seems like drinking blood is the worst part about being a vampire.

If I see anyone as Bill Compton or Eric Northman, I’m running them down in my car.

Yeah, while I enjoy vampire-themed shows and movies, I have never felt inclined to start acting like one, so I would have to skip the sucking blood out of a plastic baggy.

i’d consider doing it once for shock value. it’d be pretty weird to walk into your apartment and see your roommate on the couch, drinking blood

Mix it with apple juice.  Everything is a bit more tolerable with apple juice in it.

HBO already put out a Tru Blood drink. It looks the same as the bottles they drink from on the show and it tastes pretty good. It is blood orange flavored and although it’s red, it is not blood-red or thick.
