“Can a woman get cervical cancer if a smoker routinely goes down on her?”—Paranoid About My Puffer, Houston, TX

There hasn’t been any real medical research to support this claim, but you’re not totally crazy. If I had to take a guess, I’d say having a smoker go down on you is like putting Equal in your coffee. It’s not awesome for you, but if you don’t eat eight bathtubs full of it a day you’ll be fine.

The most serious risk factor for cervical cancer is infection by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Women who smoke are about twice as likely as non-smokers to get cervical cancer. Other risk factors include Chlamydia, diet low in fruits and veggies, HIV, and prolonged use of oral contraceptives. If you’re still worried about it, talk to your boyfriend and tell him you’re not into him smoking. Aside from the possible health effects it might have on you, it’s way worse for him.

For real, girl. Smoking is nasty for oral sex but in the opposite direction: it makes guys’ cum taste wretched.
