“The Vampire Diaries” Extended Preview
I was a little skeptical about “The Vampire Diaries” until I watched this teaser. I thought the CW was just trying to capitalize on the vampire resurgence in the cheesy way that only that network can. But I was wrong. This trailer gave me the same excitement I had when I first saw “True Blood” and read the Twilight series. You can bet we’ll cover “The Vampire Diaries” in the fall once it premieres. Will you watch the show? Or are sick of vampires already?

I can’t get enough of vampires, but seriously, what is with the going around in daytime thing? It’s ridiculous.

I believe I’ll be in. Hopefully the writing will be as witty as Dawson’s but if not, at least the Vamps are hot.

I don’t know, it reminds me of what they’re doing with “10 Things I Hate About You” (has anyone seen the ads for the new show? Terrible), just as a version of Twilight. I don’t see too much that’s very original. And, of course, it’s the CW, so I don’t expect the acting to be too great.

I’m not getting tired of vampires. I’m getting tired of vampires that go out in the day, go to high school, and fall in love with one of the students.

And they’re definitely trying to make the guy as close to Edward as possible…same clothes/fashion, same sunglasses, same hair (bit less fluffy, though), and very similar voices. But I’d probably watch it - after all, who cares if it’s a knockoff if it’s a good one!

Eh, looks pretty cheesey to me. But then again, I walked out of “Twilight” after about 20 minutes of trying to buy into that, too. Guess vampires are just not for me.
