Nike Does Gladiator Sandals, And We Like Them
If these Nike gladiator sandals were a person, they’d be the middle-school bully who beat up all the wimpy gladiator sandals from last season. They’re the brainchild of Art Center College design student Nancy and were created for Nike’s Remixed and Recut hybrid footwear line for Summer 2009. Hybrid is the perfect word to describe the sandals. They’re perfect for hitting the pavement while shopping or sightseeing, but they could transition to night with the right mini-dress. Sadly, they’re sold out. But if you love them as much as I do, you’ll keep checking Colette in hopes of scoring your pair. [Fashion Indie]

Oh God these are the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen. Gladiator shoes can only look right in certain styles, and this one is not one of those.

I cannot stand gladiator sandals in general. These are the worst thing I have ever seen. Seriously. That hat with the zipper pocket on it is a better idea.

First thought: Those would look awesome to wear on my hands and handstand walk down The Embarcadero.
True Story.

First, harem pants were dissed, now these gladiators…where’s you people’s sense of adventure when it comes to dressing?

Annika, honestly I like the concept, but mainly I’m too short for any version of the glad—and, I don’t like the Nike swoosh. It jars the whole look. They look comfy, tho.
