The Nadya Suleman Saga Continues

Nadya Suleman, the woman who gave birth to octuplets recently and has six other children, continues to be on everyone’s minds and lips. After the jump, everything we know about her so far.
- She is unmarried and conceived all her children though in-vitro fertilization.
- In fact, she has intimacy issues with men and hasn’t had sex in eight years!
- She has received $50,000 in student loans.
- She plans to support her children once she completes her master’s degree in chil counseling. Until then, she will continue to support her children with $490 in food stamps and social security disability payments for three of her 14 children.
- She’s been paid for interviews with the U.K. Sun and Daily Mail, according to Us Weekly.
- Her website takes donations. Donors can conveniently pay through PayPal!
- She maintains that she isn’t trying to be like Angelina Jolie, despite the obvious changes to her facial features that draw a strong resemblance.
- She has folks (maybe California taxpayers?) so pissed off that some have even sent death threats via her website.
Suleman and her children seem like a match for cable network TLC, which has two shows about large and/or quirky families, but don’t expect her to go Hollywood anytime soon. Much to her disappointment, I’m sure, industry people are running away from her in droves. Two publicity firms stopped representing her in the same week. Word is the employees of the firms were also getting death threats. She was dropped from another firm on Valentine’s Day after only two weeks of representation. As of right now, no one officially represents her. And TLC, who expressed interest in a program about the Suleman family early on, isn’t pursuing a show after all.
Although Suleman won’t get her own show anytime soon, you have to admit that her story is perfect for reality TV because people view her as unstable, unlikable and selfish—qualities reality TV fans love to hate! She has also forced other large TV families—like the Gosselins of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and the Duggars of “17 Kids and Counting”—to up the ante. The Gosselins will adopt two puppies into their family this season, even though the boys aren’t potty-trained yet, to keep viewers interested this season. And the Duggars have married off their oldest son and welcomed an eighteenth child. Would you watch a show about Suleman and her children? And if so, what harebrained antics would you like to see?

How did she afford Plastic Surgery? It would explain why she doesn’t look like her mom..or her dad.. or any of her children for that matter? No one appears to have that nose in the family. I wonder what else is she lying about? She has already lied about plastic surgery, being on welfare, using food stamps. I wouldn’t be surprised that it turns out that she isn’t a college student at this point.I have a hard time feeling bad for her when you see her on TV screaming ‘I’m not a Celebrity!’ Right? That’s why you look like Angelina Jolie and implanted 6 fetuses in your uterus?

The media isn’t digging deep enough. There is more to the story than meets the eye. Remember, infertility treatments are not regulated. There are standards and guidelines, but no reprocussions if a doctor goes beyond what those standards and guidelines dictate. It really is each doctor unto his/herself.
The upshot is going to be that she isn’t infertile—meaning other than being abstinent there is no medical reason necessitating IVF. She *could* have had IUI (interuterin insemination—the turkey baster, if you will) but generally, that only yields one to three children at a time.
I bet is it found that she is recieving a kick-back from the doctor to be used as a guinea pig so his claim to fame could be the doctor who engineered—and that is the right term here—a pregnancy where a high number of “super” multiples survived.
And the doctor should have his license taken away. This was unethical on so *many* levels.

I wouldn’t be able to support the glorification of her actions. Being a parent requires sacrifice and responsibilty—both of which she seems to be lacking. Thank goodness for her parents.
Also, I don’t think the Gosselins are on par with the Duggers or Nadya Suleman. They tried to have 1 or 2 babies after having 1 set of twins. They kept them when they realized that all were embryos. And getting a dog or 2 is normal, right? I think we can blame Kate’s lame jokes as a ploy for additional viewers, but watching that show proves to me over and over again that they really want the best for their kids and for others. The Duggers however keep having children one right after the other. Even though they can afford to take care of them, the world is increasingly overpopulated and they are raising them all to think that KISSING before marriage is wrong. C’mon Frisky readers, can we support that?

You couldn’t pay me enough to watch any type of reality show with Nadya on it. I find it very disturbing on sooooo many levels that she cannot afford the 6 kids she has (i.e. food stamps), yet she could afford IVF? She seriously needs to get her priorities straight and doesn’t deserve a dime from any sponsers or networks. Her children obviously don’t “come first” as she continually claims . . . otherwise she would’ve used the thousands of dollars she spent on IVF to feed and care for them vs. living off taxpayer’s dollars.

You have EIGHT babies in the NICU—- when did you have time to go get your NAILS DONE? It’s not even like she threw on a quick coat of polish. She got a set of acrylics!!!

Umm I don’t think that the Gosselins getting two puppies is a ploy to keep viewers. And their boys are potty trained. They’re freaking 4 years old! Obviously someone doesn’t watch the show or they would know this and have seen the episode about 2 seasons ago when the did get potty trained. Don’t comment if you don’t know the facts…

Yeah I thought they were potty trained too. Like I said, I think they’re good people who just happen to have 2 sets of multiples. They didn’t intend to have 8 kids and even before they had a show, they were working hard to take care of them.

Hmmm…aren’t all her children under 8? I mean, have 45 billion kids and living in your mama’s house is not the way to get a man to think of you in a naughty way. She is a certified loony tune.
