Johnny Depp in ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ is still my favorite before-they-got-big role.
The article should have mentioned Nicholas Cage in ‘Fast Time at Ridgemont High’. He’s in it for all of five seconds as a fry cook.

That list was hilarious (particularly #10). I don’t think it’s particularly embarrassing, and I doubt it was his first ever role, but I’d like to add that Zac Efron briefly appeared in the TV series Firefly, as Simon Tam in his childhood. I just think it’s funny that he played such a low-key part, and then a few years later became a huge teen idol.

@LunaLena That role was one of two things I have seen him in where I didn’t go “I hate you so much Zac Efron”. He was a good mini-Simon.
And he was also in a Lifetime movie about autistic twins. He played the one who just wanted to run cross country.

Did anyone see Family Guy last night featuring the squirrel rendition of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? Hysterical.
