The Latest In Flowers: Rainbow Roses
Too bad Valentine’s Day is over, because I would have asked my imaginary boyfriend for some Happy Roses. All the way from Prague (actually they’re so cool they’re not even available in the States yet), the stems are treated with natural pigments, and then something magical happens to make each petal a different color. Don’t they kind of remind you of that “science” project you did in elementary school, where you added food coloring to a vase and watched a white carnation turn blue a few days later? That’s not true, I live in California and I was given one not too long ago. I thought they just dyed it or something. I did appreciate it though, I had never seen something like that.

The carnation experiment was the first thing when I saw this pic! But these roses are a hundred times prettier.
Though I gotta say, if a guy didn’t want to shell out for roses from Praque, I’d still be tickled if he showed up with a big bouquet of multi-colored science experiment carnations. I like the idea of a guy who would take cheap flowers and put in the effort to gussy them up to be unique. Actually that could be totally romantic… Hmm…

So, am I the only one who thinks this is an effing ugly flower? If someone gave these to me I might cry, and not in an “aww, sweetie, you are the most amazing man ever” way.

Did anyone else see the $50 facebook gift for valentines day that was a rainbow rose? Did ANYONE buy one?
