Who doesn’t have a few pairs of underwear that are a few washes past flattering, or a bra that looks more gray than white? If you want a fresh start this January, you better get a few fresh pairs. yep, I definitely agree. Even my granny panties are sexy-ish (the “Starlet” retro knickers from VS). I just think putting on ugly underwear is a rough way to start and end the day. Even my gym underwear (full coverage, cotton, etc) have to have a cute patten on them or something!

It’s like you read my mind! This weekend I was going through my underwear drawer trying to find a particular cute pair I hadn’t worn in ages. I dug through about 20 pairs of disgusting granny panties and, or course, the period underwear (c’mon, everyone has them). Later in the day my bf and I were folding laundry and he held up a striped pair that I’ve had for years and went “God, these are gross!” Knowing that he reacts so strongly to my “gross” underwear, combined with the fact that my underwear drawer can barely close cuz of all the crap inside, I knew that one of my goals before 2009 was to throw out all the bad pairs. Can’t wait to go shopping for new ones!

I know…my underwear food chain ends with a period and the ratio of cute&sexy;versus unf*ckable pd. wear is causing a feng shui curse on my love life.

I’ve been on the road for like, three weeks, and one of the things I’ve been looking forward to doing on my upcoming lazy local weekend is buying new underwear (and socks) for myself. I’m also picking up stuff for the bf, since he never buys clothes or replaces super worn out underwear, which will get to him via Christmas present (with other stuff, I’m not that boring
).
Thankfully, the bf and I do our own laundry and only mix stuff when necessary or accidental, even after a year and a half of living together (you’re doing whites? toss this in!/huh, didn’t realize your sweats got mixed in with my laundry *shrug*).

this is one thing that i always do…
unfortunately, i don’t always replace them as frequently as i toss them but at least once a year (usually springtime) i have an underwear shopping expedition and spend like $100 on panties. i know maybe it’s overkill but there are few pairs of undies that make it through the year unscathed and i like revamping my underwear drawer every year.
the socks don’t quite get the same attention. i always throw them out as soon as they get holes but i definitely don’t replace them often enough. i always seem to be running out of socks.
