The Jonas Brothers Vs. Hanson: What’s The Diff?

Everywhere I look, those dang Jonas Brothers are there, torturing me with memories. Memories of what, you may ask? Hanson. That painfully annoying threesome of brothers from the ‘90s who performed that song “Mmm Bop”. Just like the Jonas Brothers, the young one was sweet and adorable, the middle one was the one the girls peed their pants over, and the older one got hit with the ugly stick. I HATED Hanson. They gave me the heebie-jeebies. Why is it that teen girls are still drawn to this crap?
Now, before you think I’m being judgey, remember I have readily admitted to a fondness for New Kids On The Block, among other questionably talented artists. But they at least had moves and embraced their inherently human sexuality (remember how Jordan Knight would grind his crotch at the girls in the front row?), which religiously motivated boy bands like the Jonas Brothers and Hanson are not allowed to do—until they grow up and have three kids before they’re 25, like Taylor Hanson did.

The theory is that tween girls like “safe” attractions—thus, the appeal of girly guys (e.g., Zac Efron). I’m not sure what the appeal of the ugly older guy thing is, but the the eldest Hanson does look better now.

Hm…well, it’s your opinion. I am an adult and I think the Jonas Brothers are a very good band (I come by the opinion honestly, having once been dragged to see them live, and won over). Have you seen them actually play? Besides on lame TV appearances? It’s clean in terms of lyrics and content but I wouldn’t say it’s sexy-free…
Anyway, I was a rock (what was Guns N Roses? pop-metal?) and Britpop girl in my day. I thought then and still think the New Kids are little talented and really, really gross. I don’t want their crotches in my face, thanks.
So to answer your question about Hanson and the Jonas Brothers, the reason girls (a few guys and often critics) like them is because they actually write, play real music, and don’t dance embarrassingly, unlike your typical cheesy boy band.
Sorry if this answer isn’t “frisky” enough for ya. But it’s just my opinion.

Sem-pre terei os Hanson como a minha banda favorita… eles tem uma história e músicas que maracaram momentos e a vida de tanta gente..

I think both boy bands are goods, one (Hanson)of 90’s and actually Jonas, their music is fresh and innocent.
I am 21 and I never knew the Hansons band, however I like that group, ¡¡¡who cares the kind of ritms they used to play?!!! pop ,rock, heave-metal, tango, danzon etc!!!. what is the poin? is that the meaning of theirs songs and the music is good. This is the only important thing because whit that everyone will remember them. We’ll remember our lives and how this music influence us.

cumming from the era of hanson ,and in love with with taylor hanson till standing in line oneday with a friend at a certain place watching Entertainment tonight and saw the photos of star’s wedding ‘s and died the day i saw Taylor hanson married and was crushed it was not me, corse it would helped alot if i new him!!!!! then maybe just maybe i might of been in with a chance!!! though i still loved them it was not the same now i’m happily married with a child of my own lol back to the point yes hanson where from my era the 90’s god i’m old! same age as taylor hanson to be exact! anyway hanon lives on and i was in the car with my husband last night and the joanus brothers came on and well my husband said what is this the new hanson! cause he heard one was 15 i never really hear there music till last night but i had heard of them. i actually liked there music itsounded great…. i believe everybody deserves a try! i still love hanson even if taylor is married with three kids!

Even though I do not listen to the Jonas Brothers, I respect them because they’re young and they get out there with their own instruments and songs and do what they love. Why does that bother you or anyone? Just change the station.. don’t waste your time bashing people for making a living doing something most of us can only dream of doing. I am still a proud Hanson fan and 11 years after Mmmbop was released, the insults are getting old. It was the 90s, they were like 14.. cut them some slack. Besides, it was number one of the charts so evidently they did something right.
