Speaking of beautiful people not always ending up with beautiful people, writer Salman Rushdie stepped out Tuesday night in New York with Min Lieskovsky, a 26-year-old Harvard grad and author who’s every bit as stunning as his ex-wife Padma Lakshmi. And Lieskovsky is hardly known for dating older men—in an article with Elle Girl, she confessed that she normally goes for male models. So how did Salman do it? Obviously his insane talent, wealth, and fame have something to do with his appeal. But beyond that, he just seems to be one of those guys who attracts gorgeous women. Starting with Salman, here are 10 fugly men who are forever getting lucky in the hot lady department.

I think it’s pretty funny you’re talking about ugly guys and just two posts down, there’s a pic of a fat ugly black chick talking about how she overcomes negative stereotypes to believe that she is beautiful.

Is this hypocrisy or just a ridiculous double standard where it’s okay to criticize men. But then if you dare say a woman is fat or ugly, suddenly women get all bent out of shape over it. LOL

Hey, Ric Ocasek deserves some points for staying with one hottie. I can see why Manson and Nicholson would be ick, but not Ocasek. He’s just a sort of geeky-looking guy who lucked out.

OK, I’ll agree with most of them, but the Ric Ocasek/Paulina Porizková one is pushing it a bit, I think. Yes, there’s an age difference. But they’ve been together two decades and by every indication are happy. Presumably, she sees something worthwhile in him, he does have (or at least had) a fair bit of talent, and I think the ‘2’ is too low.

Most of the others, though… dead on. Still, this should have been titled “The Fugz Hall Of Fame: When Ick Celebrity Older Men Happen To Hot Women With Daddy Issues”.

Some examples that didn’t play into the one (or four) decade age differences would have been nice.

I don’t know if I’d rate Lyle Lovett so low. Sure he looks, um, unique, but still there’s something about him that’s kind of hot. Maybe it’s the hair. Maybe the humor in his lyrics. Whatev. There’s something there that’s intriguing. Alas, at 42 I fear I’m too old for him. Sigh….

Thsi just goes to show that what a woman says she finds attractive and what she actually finds attractive are two completely different things. Confidence and character will get you way farther than six-pack abs.

In all fairness to Salman Rushdie, Yeah…he isn’t attractive physically but, I have heard him on TV several times and he is seriously smart, funny, interesting and enjoyable to listen to. When Lakshimi was looking to star “F*ck” her way onto our TV screens, she must of at least had a few good conversations as well as thinking it could be worse, it could be David Hasselhoff!

Looking back over the numbers, I think they were overall too low for the men and often too high for the women. For example, Adam Duritz, as putzy as he can be, isn’t a 1 compared to Jack’s 5.

Not all beautiful women are idiot bimbos, and you know, successful men are almost always intelligent, charismatic, masculine and strong - something dweeby 20-something-old guys lack in their metrosexual, dead-end-job, x-box glory days. So yeah, sometimes younger women date older men and DO actually have something to talk about. My husband and I are happily married for several years and the fact that he didn’t watch Saved by the Bell really hasn’t caused us any strife. Its such a double standard to say that attractive women are idiots, but of course big fat ugly ones are wonderful, with great personalities. Salman Rushdie would not date idiots.

I’d also like to see how these dudes look in real life. We’re so accustomed to celebrities looking perfect and fake in photos. Maybe they are kinda sexy in real life. Charisma can go a long way.

I’m a young attractive woman that dates older guys. My ex-husband was 14yrs older than I and my current boyfriend is 16yrs older than I. I don’t think it’s fair for people to assume that when a younger woman dates older men, she has daddy issues. I like a guy that is settled, secure, and holds traditional values. It just so happens that those are characteristics found in older men. I agree with og217, a lot of the younger guys don’t seem to really know how to treat a woman.
