The Filthy Rich Sure Know How To Party

Have you ever seen the Stanley Kubrick movie “Eyes Wide Shut,” starring then-married couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman? If so, remember the scene where Cruise’s character goes to that weird mansion and there’s all those masked people having sex and it’s super creepy? Well, that happened for realz in Somerset, England this week, when hundreds of rich people got together for a costume party and it descended into an orgiastic good time.

Halswell House was rented for £9000 and the 350 people who attended all rolled up in posh vehicles like Porsches and Aston Martins, wearing long cloaks and masks. The party was seemingly normal until the clock struck midnight and then, says Halswell House proprietor, Grahame Bond, it suddenly turned into an orgy “as if a switch had been flicked on.” One of the party organizers said, “The moment has come. The spell has begun’” and the party-goers “stripped down to leather pants, corsets and suspenders” and started engaging in sexual activity. Bond sent much of his staff home and called the police, but because it was a private party, they couldn’t do anything about the situation since nothing illegal was going on.

Eventually Bond found out that the party was organized by a company called Little Sins, which specializes in adults-only parties. Apparently, Bond did not get the memo. Also, can we get an invite to the next one? [Telegraph U.K.]
