The Duggar Family Visits The Big Apple
Somehow, we forgot to tell you that the Duggar family’s new show “17 Kids and Counting” premiered Monday night on Discovery Health. You know the Duggar family. They’re the ones with 19 family members, one more child on the way, and names that all begin with the letter “J” (except for mama Michelle). In the first episode, the family takes a trip to New York City for Mother’s Day, and a tourist thinks they’re the most exciting thing in all of Times Square.

I have watched a few episodes of this.Josh getting engaged and some what they were doing I understood.I agree that more young people should wait until they married to have sex.And maybe even the sharperon thing if he feels that he might feel that he can’t be alone with her without going overboard. But things like a 20 year old boy having to ask his parents and her parents if its o.k. to hold hands or not is going a little to far and waiting until your wedding night for that first kiss.I mean come on a kiss on the cheek after a date is normal.Even the Amish kids are allowed to go that far on date.I understand the Duggars don’t want their children to make mistakes but keeping the world hidden from them is a mistake. The comment made in the episode where the girls and boys trade jobs when they say they don’t force their daughters to not have careers and to only be mothers the truth is that is the only thing they are showing them and because they don’t have any other outside way of life showing them different.I am not saying that if that is what they really want then they shouldn’t do that but they don’t have anyone from the outside world showing them other choices they have. I would like to see an episode where the Duggar girls are allowed to go to work with a mom with career and let them see their other choices .Their nothing wrong with being a stay at home mom if that is what they really wanna to do but I think they should also have a chance to see what else is out their before they make a decision.
