The C(o)untess Is Forced To Eat Humble Pie
In today’s New York Times Style section, there’s a profile of LuAnn de Lesseps, the soon-to-be-former C(o)untess and star of “The Real Housewives Of New York City.” You see, she’s got a book, Class With the Countess, to promote, despite havoc in her personal life that makes the timing oh-so-awkward. A few weeks ago, news broke that Count de Lesseps—from whom LuAnn was already separated—had taken up with a sexy younger woman halfway across the world, and the twosome were headed for divorce. Bummer, sure, but embarrassing, too, as the news comes on the heels of LuAnn braying about the success of her marriage on “Real Housewives.” Oh, and she gives advice on seducing and hanging on to a man. You can skip that chapter, ladies!
So, why did her advice fail her? “You can be doing all the right things,” she said. “But if your partner is not meeting you halfway, it’s not your fault.” Hmm, maybe he didn’t like that you called him by his first name and not “The Count.”
Gwyneth would give me a lashing for saying this, but I find the timing of LuAnn’s misfortune to be hilarious. After all, I hate her. The saddest part is that it’ll no longer be accurate to call her the C(o)untess. Otherwise, a little public embarrassment and discomfort is what this woman needs to wipe that smug, arrogant, elitist, classist, entitled smirk off her face. [NY Times]

Wow, that was really harsh… and yet, I loved it! LuAnn (I guess we’re back to regular first names, eh?) is k-k-krazy (like the other women on the show except for Bethenny, and of course, in her own special way). I don’t have an icebox for a heart, I think divorce is always sad and unfortunate, but regarding her “book”, this lady is trippin’. On the show, she said that she always greets someone with a kiss on both cheeks because “she’s always done it that way and she likes it”. Sooo having class and manners is based on what people have always done and what they like? The poor charities she attaches her name to…

This woman is a black hole of humanity. Now she’ll just get introduced to the “commoners” as LuAnn. How WILL she deal?

Well, Amelia, if LuAnn’s in a fem-fling, stripped of her title, AND if that’s how you reeaaally feel about her, then there should be no more pretense of leaving that little “o” in your new title for her. I’m sure the Count would be happy foot the bill on all the corrected monograms and stationary, as well. “mwah, mwah” [air kisses on both cheeks]...

I found a picture of this other woman aparently she is a real princess from ethiopia and not only that, but I agree that this is so awkard and ironic and the timing was karma perfect, because luann has always being so arrogant and sh$%$ty to other people always acts like her marriage is so perfect and like she is above others.
Now not only did she get dumped for a black woman but a younger woman who was born with a title unlike her.
A princess is always above a countess and since she likes to be so stuck up and think she is above people and that titles make you better than other people, this must be suck a slap in her face to be dumped for real royalty, I bet she was crying of the embarrassement problably holding a bottle of whiskey and a box of razor blades. This may sound harsh but its the karma she created for herself for being so arrogant and bitt@@chy. Here is the link that has the picture of the ethiopian princess
