10. “Skins”: This BBC teen drama hit stateside with a bang this year. It focuses on a group of 17 year olds in Bristol, who haven’t found themselves yet, but have definitely discovered sex and drugs.
Dang. I wish we had the rest of Melissa Etheridge’s interview. She really put Elisabeth on the spot. I was annoyed with Sherri for putting her hand on Melissa’s lap, like calm down don’t get Elisabeth all riled up. You know Melissa could take Elisabeth down if she was that type of woman.
I am so with you on True Blood! It is the best mix of excellent writing and soft porn that I have seen in a long time. Maybe ever! And that Jason Stackhouse… if he becomes a Bible-thumper and doesn’t have any nekked scenes, I will be very, very upset!
For me in the UK my favourites have been
House (I’m too impatient to wait so have been watching the new series from the US, mainly to fuel my crush on him)
The IT Crowd
Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe
Doctor Who (again another lustfilled viewing what with the wonderful David Tennant)
Mock The Week
and Dead Set

How does The View and Law & Order make the list but not Dexter or Californication? :(

Mad Men is the best show on TV ... should have been #1. It’s perfection, IMHO! Happy 2009, everyone!

Skins is alright, but a far more realistic portrayal of the life of a UK teenager is The Inbetweeners!

I agree, I think Dexter & Californication should be on the list.
