#1 SCHICK QUATRO Trimstyle Razor & Bikini Trimmer (Euro Version)
This commercial for Schick Quattro’s Trimstyle Razor & Bikini Trimmer has been causing quite a stir in the U.S. since it was released in Europe and found its way onto YouTube. Its double entendres aren’t at all subtle; they’re totally hilarious. The best line in the jingle: “All that’s left for me to see are tulips on the mound.”
After watching these yesterday and finding them to be thoroughly entertaining, I found a “news” headline where I check my email… something along the lines of, “Is this ad offensive to women?” Sure enough, people are throwing hissy fits over this first advert. One woman’s comment was all freaky about how she shouldn’t have to explain this to her 9 yr old, that she already hates explaining the “Viva Viagra!” commercials on TV, too. Everyone was pretty much saying: if you can’t/won’t educate your child, you shouldn’t have one; how does your daughter not yet know she’s going to sprout flora on her fauna?; you can’t have a mature discussion with your daughter about erectile dysfunction?
These are the children that wind up with insane hang-ups about their bodies and sex.
Wackadoos are sucking all the humor out of everything. Afraid of everything.
OK, Annika, that’s it!... You win for the funniest post of the week, and it’s only Tuesday! I can’t stand it! Hahahaha!
#1 Lawn mowing—that is so my humor—so out there, and set to music; I wonder if gay guys were behind this campaign!?
#3 Beaver care—I’ve never thought of mine in such a tender-loving way before.
#8 Answering the vibe—that moment would have been (and was) reversed at our house! Cool tool, too.
Annika, btw, panty lines only *enhance* the mom jeans, esp, if there’s any “comfort elastic” at the waist. #2 Eerily had a “Six Feet Under” look and feel to it (well, maybe Six “Inches” Under).
Why oh why?... can’t we have those commercials here?
Where or where?... did you get the idea for these?
