  Chrissie Hynde, one of a select group of women who truly bring glory to the electric guitar, has lead her Pretenders to their first new record since their Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction. With its shimmy inducing title track and truisms set to twang, just like everything Chrissie touches, this album is sure to turn gold.

• Antony and The Johnsons Another World
  Antony Hegarty, hand picked by Lou Reed, has made a second release with his Johnsons.  The follow up to his Mercury Prize winning debut, “I Am A Bird Now,” the sexually ambiguous siren has crafted yet another delicately gorgeous tome of laments.  He and his voice are truly one of a kind.  His songs are so intimate and to know him is to love him!  Fans, this EP is just a sweet treat to tide you over it his sophomore record, “The Crying Light,” is released in January.

• Oasis Dig Out Your Soul
  The brothers from Manchester aren’t the second coming of the Beatles, but they’ve made it to their seventh record. If you loved “Champagne Supernova,” then these stars still got it.

• Deerhoof Offend Maggie
  The indie kids rock another whimsical record with endearing enthusiasm. Maggie’s everywhere will love it!

• Margot and the Nuclear So So’s Not Animal
  Arguably the best band name of all time, it may be a misnomer since their tracks are hardly explosive.  Actually, the band takes their name from Wes Anderson’s character, Margot Tenenbaum, and their songs are just as elegantly subdued.
