Stripper Kicks Man In The Head. Plus, Other XXX Lawsuits.

There’s a reason men are not allowed to touch strippers. Florida resident Michael Ireland was promptly (and rightfully) kicked in the head after forcefully slapping the butt of stripper Sakeena Shageer, aka “Suki,” at Cheetah nightclub in West Palm Beach last September. Ireland is now suing the club—he says the kick broke some bones and gave him permanent double vision, though the Cheetah’s owner denies that “little Suki” could have done that much damage. Hey, at least with his vision, Ireland’s next strip club visit will be a 2-for-1 show.

• You can find the latest spin-off of “American Idol” at the Palazio Mens Club in Austin, Texas. Instead of singing their hearts out, contestants of “Stripper Idol” dance topless for 60 seconds to get the loudest audience applause. FremantleMedia, which owns the real “American Idol,” is suing for trademark violations. They don’t want people to confuse the two shows or think “American Idol” in any way supports the raunchy contest. [Fox News] — Sheesh, you’d have to be a Grade-A idiot to confuse the two.
• Edward Law, a quadriplegic man, is suing the Wildside Adult Sports Cabaret in West Palm Beach, Florida, for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act. His beef: the club’s lap dance room is only accessible by stairs, meaning if you’re in wheelchair, too bad. Oh, and apparently, the club’s bar is so high that, from his chair, he couldn’t see the strippers? [National Center] — Now, we’re all for equal access. But was suing necessary? Couldn’t he have asked the manager to make an exception? Or gone somewhere else? Or not gone at all?
• OctoMom Nadya Suleman is pissed. No, not at one of her eight kids, at the rumor reported by In Touch magazine that she once was a stripper. She is suing Gunner Reid, the strip club owner who told the mag that Nadya stripped there under the name, “Angelina.” In the piece, another stripper said Nadya “was overly flirty with men.” But Nadya says they’re both full of it and that she never worked there. She said the closest she’s come to stripping was the lingerie contest she entered and won when she was 19. [Us Weekly]
• Someone needs to do something about those skyscraper heels—they often double as weapons. Last year, Stephen Chang filed a lawsuit against Hot Lap Dance Club in New York City. Why? While getting a lap dance at the club, a stripper accidentally poked him in the eye with her heel. [NY Daily News] Oh, and the rain really came down hard on Floridian Charles Privette when he went to The Booby Trap (best name ever!). After an overeager pole dancer flipped her foot too fast, her heel flew off, shattering the mirrored ceiling before hitting Privette right in the kisser. Paramedics were called to the club, and now Privette is suing for $15,000 in damages. [To The People]
• In 2003, business dude Robert McCormick went to Scores in New York City, and managed to rack up a bill of $241,000. Um, how is that possible? Anyway, McCormick charged the bill on his corporate American Express card and signed the tab. But then he later said that he was duped, that the bill should have been more like $20,000 (still, how?), and that the charges were fraud. American Express than sued Scores over the whole debacle, and it took until 2006 to reach a settlement. [CNN] — Just another reminder to always check what you’re solving.
