Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon Launches Clothing Line Mirror/Dash

When it comes to female rock legends, Kim Gordon has a top ranking thanks to her distinctive performance style and badass voice. Musical abilities aside, she’s also about to become a fashion mogul with her newly-launched line, Mirror/Dash.

Inspired by Françoise Hardy, the collection is intended for ladies closer to Kim’s demo. “There’s a need for clothes for cool moms,” she told The New York Times. The first piece is a wool jacket with military details , a stand-up collar, and overlapping flaps—called “The Hardy Jacket”, it retails for $415. While the debut piece is a limited edition (only 50 made!), Mirror/Dash will release more styles throughout the year.
