Sofia Coppola Makes Me Want To Soak Myself In Dior Perfume
Sofia Coppola’s a busy lady these days. Not only has she been designing bags for Louis Vuitton, but Coppola also directed a commercial for Dior’s Miss Dior Cherie fragrance. It has a jealousy inducing I’m-fabulous-and-live-in-Paris-in-the-‘60s vibe to it. If this is the kind of life I’d live if I wore the perfume, I’ll buy myself a king-size bottle and play Brigitte Bardot’s song “Moi Je Joue” on repeat. [Fashionista]

I don’t care at all for Miss Dior Cherie, but the ad is adorable. The red balloon that shows up a few times reminds me very much of the French short, “Le Ballon rouge”... which always made me very sad as a child. I wonder if Sofia is recalling it, too. Seems as if it shows up too frequently for it to be an accident.
