Slideshow: Men’s Summer Fashion Trends We Hate

Guys might complain about some of the fashion trends we follow. This year’s gladiator sandals and last year’s voluminous baby doll dresses are two cases in point. They just don’t seem to get it. Well, with summer in full swing, we’ve started noticing some terrible trends that don’t even have a basis in fashion, from what we can tell. Who said mandals were hot? When is it ever a good idea for a guy to put on a transparent shirt? These are 10 of the worst “looks” guys could wear for summer. (In response to Asylum’s “Women’s Summer Fashion Trends We Hate”). Now will someone please buy Ed Westwick a longer pair of shorts?
Check out Asylum’s “Women’s Summer Fashion Trends We Hate Slideshow”. They’re against menswear as womenswear? We’re guessing this is because they’re jealous they don’t look as good in a tux jacket as Ashley Olsen does.

All your questions regarding what a frisky woman prefers to avoid on a man, should be answered with the post(suggestion) about an extendable back shaver. Women have good reason to think men are gross, we usually are.
But I see woman pick and recycle what is in their noses, waiting at stop lights, around every block…it takes two to make my stomach do the tango.
No short shorts. Wait till you see my vintage swimming trunks. Forget about the creamy body it conceals.

wow i had to post bc i disagree with 3 major ones:
1. italian men swimmintrucks the ‘boxer brief’ style is hot on nice toned thighs.
2. mandals are elegant if they are in leather form flip flop- nothing is more annoying than the ambercrombie flop…screams frat man-whore.
3. tank tops? nothing is uglier than a farmer’s tan and pits stains bc you’re melting in your vintage tee-so please boys bare those toned shoulders bc um hello that’s hot!!!!!
does anyone else protest to some of these ‘disliked’ manfashions?

Why are madras shorts not on this list? I’ve seen more and more men and women bringing back this horrendous style. It’s like someone cut their great-grandmother’s quilt into a pair of shorts. Quilts are a talent. Looking like you’re wearing a quilt is a fashion disaster!
Oh, and I don’t get the one about tank tops for two reasons - 1. You showed a picture of Mario Lopez as the example and that man can look hot in anything (or nothing for that matter), so he wasn’t the best example and 2. Not every occasion during the summer is appropriate for a guy to go shirtless, and the tank top is a way to still be decently dressed for casual outings and still keep from being too bloody hot.

I bought some madras shorts from J. Crew and was horrified to see that they have a special, camel-toe like quality. Madras + camel toe = Time for The Salvation Army

I actually like the bandanas.. but then again i wear them too. But other than that i totally agree with these.
