She’s Got The Crazy!
I don’t watch “She’s Got The Look,” and I won’t be watching it in the future, because I am pretty sure it peaked on last night’s episode. “She’s Got The Look,” is basically “America’s Next Top Model” for older ladies. On last night’s episode, one of the contestants, Laurie, lost her marbles during judging, stripped off her top, and started prattling on about beauty being spiritual and wanting to take care of people. It is straight up nuts. Clip above.

Oh my god. This is amazing. Maybe I spoke way too soon when I said I wasn’t interested in model shows anymore.
Also, why do people keep voluntarily leaving reality TV shows lately? We all know the insanity that’s involved because we’ve been watching them for a decade now. “Can I go?” Yes, but why did you want to be there in the first place?

Why do producers keep exploiting people who are obviously mentally ill by putting them on reality TV shows where they have meltdowns? I don’t believe for one second that producers didn’t know this woman was unhinged.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that this Laurie gal was mentally ill. More like she just didn’t have the mental constitution to compete in what she perceived to be a shallow contest. She did have a melt down, obviously. What she did was defeat herself on purpose because of her insecurities. By opting to take defeat voluntarily she saved herself an anticipated trauma of being officially rejected. I don’t watch the show. So of course, this is just my opinion based upon seeing this video for the first time without the back story.
I like what the guy said about her photo though. He said those other women had just lost some competition.
WOW.

Never seen the show (European) so I don’t know if she is regularly like that, but I did think the blonde (supermodel?) jury member on the left was being very unprofessional. Remarking twice that this was the weirdest/most ridiculous thing she had ever seen. Someone had a psychological meltdown on the set of her show and she ridicules the girl? It was obviously weird but I applaud how the male jury member dealth with it, allowing the girl to leave with a bit of dignity (just a bit though).

It really disturbs me that it didn’t seem to occur to anyone that there might be something actually wrong with her. Really? I mean, instead of asking someone who is obviously very distressed and erratic if they are OK, you tell her she’s acting childish and tell the other girls they “lost some competition”?!
I mean, I know this is reality TV and all, but somehow I had hoped for a little more .... intelligence?...sensitivity?
Congratulations reality TV for once again destroying my faith in humanity.
