All of these shoes are absolutely atrocious.

agreed. I also don’t understand the whole “gladiator sandal” fad. Then again, I also try to avoid wearing things that I would be embarrasing 10 years down the road and try not to look like a moron when I leave the house *shrug*

I wear converse with my slacks at work, and yet, I don’t think I could pull any of these off with slacks at work. I do like the ninja shoe though. Those would be ideal for some parkour or capoeira.

#3? yes, it is ugly.
gray - well, maybe it’s not always ugly.
but velcro IS always ugly.
and the camel toe will never be in style

I’m not saying #3 are cute, but would be totally functional for certain athletic applications. Construction workers in Japan would wear the ninja-toe style because they felt it gave them better balance on uneven terrain. But they also wore funky harem pantaloon things too, so I dunno.

Hmm, I think I’ll stick with switching between cute shoes/heels days and comfy sneaker days. These shoes are far from sexy!

The pintails look somewhat decent but yeah for the most part, they really don’t look sexy AT ALL.

Um. What about ballet slippers (many come with rubber soles that are rather comfy), kitten heels, or wedges? Or a cute pair of peep-toe flats? All of them are day to night stylers that are grown up and don’t make us look like we’re still in our teens.
This was a pretty poor grouping as many were all still very sneaker-like. I think it would have made a better article to include one of these sneaker-type options and then give ideas about the shoe styles I mentioned above.
Variety is the spice of life, you know.

I think a lot of these would look better on than they do in the photos. And TOMS shoes are great because they give a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair that is bought.
