The hit song of the summer, I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry, is the soundtrack for a new sexual revolution. From co-ed LUG’s to Hollywood’s hottest stars, girl-on-girl action is steaming up the streets and screens across the U.S. What publicly started with Madonna kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the Video Music Awards in 2003, has grown into a full-on, leggings-style TREND.
Paris Hilton is known for not being picky about her, uh, dance partners in nightclubs and was recently photographed smooching Elisha Cuthbert.
Lindsay Lohan finally got sick of being on the down-low and has come out swinging, making the rounds with her partner-in-love, Samantha Ronson.
On the big screen, you can almost already see the boners Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz are going to cause with their lesbian kiss in Woody Allen’s new movie, Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Even kid star Miley Cyrus has been locking lips with a lady, although she said she wouldn’t make out with Katy Perry (who sung back up on her record) or any other girl. Miley didn’t seem to have any problem doing it with her gal pal in these sleepover pics!
But it’s not just young starlets looking to make a quick buck off some cheap publicity, women, like heiress Lydia Hearst, are really putting the homo in the homogeneous upper crust. Hearst was just snapped by the paps making out with equally blond, Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day, just last week.
Courtenay Semel, the daughter of Yahoo!‘s CEO, had a heated affair with Casey Johnson, as in heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, before moving on to Tila Tequila, who, herself, made a leap into the celeb-o-sphere with her bisexual reality dating show.
Like any trend, flaunting it may cause overexposure, so we wouldn’t be surprised if, come Fall, polyamory is the new lesbian is the new black.

remember way back when madonna and sandra bernhard were camping it up on David Letterman as lipstick lesbians? madonna was always so so ahead of the curve. and supposedly, madonna and angelina jolie were both with jenny shimizu (most recently on america’s next top model) at points. i think lindsay should dump sam and get with jenny to complete the circle!
