Rush Limbaugh Crowned A Miss America Pageant Judge
Miss America loves inviting random people to judge over their annual grossfest pageant. But the judging panel for the 2010 pageant will include perhaps the most random person ever—Rush Limbaugh. Yes, the king of conservative talk radio. Because it won’t be creepy at all to have a 58-year-old dude gawking at and then giving scores to early twenty-somethings in bathing suits? The Miss America Organization is excited to have Rush as a judge. “We know that the 2010 Miss America Pageant will be filled with new twists and exciting opportunities with him as one of our national judges,” says the organization’s president. Perhaps they’re trying to make up for the snafu that occurred when ultra-liberal (and also kind of repulsive) Perez Hilton asked Carrie Prejean a question about gay marriage? Will Rush be fielding questions about prescription pill abuse? Guess we’ll have to tune in to TLC on Jan. 30 to find out. [AOL]

This so disturbing, the Miss America contest just needs to hang up its sash and call it day, because if they keep having these wack judges, just for the hope of “new twists and exciting opportunities” because they know no one really gives these pageants any attention. Especially when there are much more salacious pageantry on Toddlers and Tiaras. Very sad. The Miss America pageant has lost all credibility over the years, it’s time to put this tacky mess out of its misery.

Your post is inaccurate. There is a difference between the Miss America system, which requires a 10 minute interview (to determine personality and intelligence), as well as a talent. They also partner with the Children’s Miracle Network (have raised over $2,880,000) and must be active with a personal community service platform ranging from Breast Cancer Awareness to Marriage Equality.
The USA system is the one that is under Donald Trump and always the center of attention and controversy with Carrie Prejean, Perez Hilton, Tara Connor, Miss Teen SC, etc.
As for Rush Limbaugh, he will make an excellent addition to the judging panel, specifically for the interview. The MAO looks for judges who will ask the tough questions (like Chris Matthews a few years ago), which is why they have never end up with an idiot that only looks good in a bikini and dress rambling onstage like Carrie Prejean or Teen SC USA.

Yet another reason for me to ignore this “scholarship competition” - because nothing says “scholar” like bikinis worn with 4” heels leered at by pill popping bigots.

I hope this site isn’t the only source of information about this topic because it’s
grosslyinaccurate. I hope it will be corrected soon.Shriekback68

These “contestants” enter of their own free will, last time I checked. If you don’t like it (as I don’t), don’t watch it.

@JackieAU
But let’s be totally honest here. Regardless of how great the personality, intelligence and talent, there’s no way to become a Miss America without a great body, fabulous tits and skyscraper legs!
