Romance On TV + Poll: The Bachelorette Picks Her Man

Oh, The Bachelorette. How I regret not watching you from the first episode. Last night was the finale and boy, was is it a doozy. Jeremy returned! To rather sadly beg for DeAnna back, mind you, but he was there and delightfully less Patrick Bateman-esque. But it wasn’t enough, because DeAnna was MORE in love with Snowboarder McGee and Daddy Dopeyface and had a major decision to make. The thing that drives me crazy about this show is that up until the very last second, The Bach is always totally in love with both competitors, but then suddenly, the clouds part and it’s clear who he/she should choose? I mean, if I was the chosen one, I would probably still be a little insecure. Anyway, if you don’t want to know who DeAnna chose and who proposed to her, don’t click to after the jump and don’t watch the video above either…
Okay so, I love the build up to when the limo pulls up to the house and Chris Harrison opens the door to reveal the first arrival, cause the first person to arrive ALWAYS gets cut and it’s such a “YES! I knew it!” moment. This whole time, even though I think Snowboard McGee (Jesse) is a little fugs, I was rooting for him to win because I just really think Daddy Dopeyface (Jason) might be a little bit on the slow side and he reminds me of a not-so-cute puppy panting at her feet. Luckily, Jesse’s limo pulled up first, signaling that DeAnna didn’t care much for his drool either. Jason got down on bended knee and before he could ask DeAnna to marry him, she stopped him with a simple, “I can’t.” Man, how humiliating. You get down on one knee in front of a national audience and get dissed before you can say a word. OH WELL.
Snowboarder McGee was the next to arrive and DeAnna was all, “Jesse is my soulmate” blah, blah, blah, and Jesse looked like he was going to pass out and my heart kind of melted for these two crazy kids. So Jesse proposed and DeAnna accepted and finally said I love you and it was just cute. I admit it. Oh, one thing, I will say that I thought the ring Dopeyface picked out was prettier, but you can’t have it all, I guess. Anyway, I missed the “After the Final Rose” show afterwards, but I read this morning that DeAnna and Jesse are getting married in May 2009, which is when I am getting married, so bitches better not try and overshadow me. Anyway, clip above is of Jesse’s proposal. And vote in our poll! Did DeAnna choose the right guy?

I can’t believe DeAnna picked Jesse. What can Jesse offer DeAnna? I saw a big connection with Jeremy. They had so much in common.

I’m very happy that she chose Jesse! He is a great guy and they are very happy together still. He was just visiting his home town with Deanna a little over a week ago.. I went to school with Jesse and I think he has plenty to offer her.

I love Jesse, he is soo darn adorable and how can you not be in love with him after he sang tha cute song to her. He has alot to offer, just because he isnt the average business like guy doesnt mean he cant offer her the world, lots of money and status doesnt mean everything. Jesse is a redneck. How could she have a good show up to the end and then pick someone who is not even handsome. For goodness sake, she had the world by the tail and lost it, as far as I am concerned, with a redneck looking guy like Jesse. What is wrong with the girls today???

I was totally shocked. I thought Jesse was a great guy and no one should be judged by the way they dress or what they do for a living but I just thought Deanna was ready for a full fledged committment. I thought she wanted to get married, have kids and have the white pickit fence type of life. I saw that with Jason and Jeremy. I chose those two from hour one. I loved both those men. I hoped in the end it would be Jeremy as he was single and lived in Texas and could move to Atlanta for Deanna. I thought it would be too much for Jason to uproot his son from Seattle.
For Deanna to have picked Jesse shows me she is still looking to have fun, live on the edge and to travel, to explore. In the long run she will find that Jesse is the right partner to have this exciting adventure with but Jeremy is who she should have picked to have that truly romantic and long lasting relation ship with. She could have travelled the world with him too but he would have a law degree to come home to.
God bless Jesse and D. I hope they make it. I hope too that Jason and Jeremy find their dream partners, I wish I could be age again.

I think it’s interesting that some people assume Jesse can’t give DeAnna everything she has ever wanted in a husband. He fulfills every single quality she told host Chris Harrison she wants on night one of the show.
They have set a wedding date and location (May 9, 2009 in the Bahamas) and they are obviously very much in love. If you visit their myspace page (jessecsincsak) and check out their photo albums you will see this for yourself.
I think they are an adorable couple and I also think Jesse was the hottest guy there, because he had the best personality and the best heart (and his gorgeous body doesn’t hurt). He is a sweetheart and a genuine guy, with a killer sense of humor, and that makes him hotter than any emotionally distant fakey model type.
Bottom line: DeAnna chose the man she can’t live without, the man she can depend on, the man who “gets” her, the man who makes her laugh like nobody else, the man who makes her want to be a better person, the man she knows she’ll still be waking up next to in 60 years. Who would be crazy enough to walk away from that?! She made the right decision for her.
