Robert Pattinson Turns Down Chance To Make Music For “New Moon”

“Twilight” star, Robert Pattinson, recorded some songs for the movie’s soundtrack. In fact, his crooning helped the album steadily move up the U.S. album charts. But this time around, he’s turned down the opportunity to contribute his sultry voice to the upcoming movie sequel soundtrack. Why? Pursuing music professionally was never the actor’s intention and he’d rather keep his music career as a backup plan. The Brit is a talented composer, pianist and guitarist, so music may not be a horrible option if he’s never able to score another role after Edward Cullen. But until his 15 minutes of movie fame are up, he’s stepping aside so rock band Paramore can write the title track to the movie’s soundtrack. [I’mNotObsessed.com]

hey!
from what i knew, he first wanted to pursue music, but then acting came up and he grabbed the chance. He didn’t write the music for Twilight, the songs that were played in the movie were songs he had done years (or months =P) before he even got the role. The last thing i knew was that he didn’t want to put his music in the sequel, cause he wants to gain a reputation in msuic on his own without the help of the movie bussiness.
call me a fanatic =P hahaha reading the post again, i do sound kind of obsessive, but i just wanted to clear things up =)

I AM REALLY GLAD HE DIDNT TURN DOWN MAKING NEW MOON TO MAKE MUSIC (the twilight saga wont be the same without him) , BUT I AM REALLY HOPING THAT ONCE HES DONE WITH TWILIGHT HE DOES RECORD MUSIC . I LOVE THE WAY HE SINGS I ACTUALLY HAVE A COUPLE OF HIS SONGS AND RIGHT NOW THERE MY FAVORITE. THE KID HAS ALOT OF TALENT. WOW
