Condom Ringtone In India

There are many ways to let people know you’re into having safe sex. The easiest being to verbalize your needs: “I will not sleep with you unless you use a condom.” If you lived in India, you could always let your phone tell people for you. A cell phone ring tone was launched August 8 and features a singer chanting the word “condom” 50 times. So far it has been downloaded 60,000 times. “A ring tone is a very public thing,” said Yvonne MacPherson, the country director of BBC World Service Trust India. “It’s a way to show you are a condom user and you don’t have any issues with it.” We can think of a few other ringtones we wish existed…

Want to break up with your boyfriend but don’t have the guts to do it yourself? Download the breakup ringtone on his phone so that when you call, his phone will say, “I’m just not that into you! Let’s see other people!”

On a first date that’s not going well? If you’ve prepped your phone with the bad date ringtone, you can leave your phone on the table, then excuse yourself to the bathroom and call your phone from a payphone. Your date will hear your phone say, “This date isn’t going well! This date isn’t going well!” He’ll get the point so fast he’ll be gone by the time you return.

Nervous about sharing the fact that you have an STD with a new boyfriend? Get the Valtrex ringtone, which will say “I use Valtrex to take charge, I use Valtrex to take charge” over and over again until he gets the point.

I don’t appreciate the idea of downloading stupid ringtones, especially that one popularizing condoms in India. To my mind it humiliates Indians a little bit…
