Rihanna’s Layered Look: Too Much Or Just Right?

Can we raise our hands for too much? We’re all about taking fashion risks here at The Frisky, but like the legendary soap opera, they must be bold and beautiful. What Rihanna is giving us here feels a touch sloppy. She rocked London at the “Inglourious Basterds” premiere with what was otherwise a pretty tasteful and well-put-together outfit (Alexander McQueen thankyouverymuch), but we’re not sure if the pearls take the whole moment overboard. Are you loving the multi-layered look or was this just over the top for you? [Just Jared]

She looks great. If the outfit wasn’t monochromatic the pearls might be overkill…but with the all black outfit they totally rock. Love it!

I’m sorry, but i’m so sick of Rihanna’s same ol’ look. Ray bans, red lips, lesbian haircuts, she looks dumb, period.
I think her style is overrated.

Amazing, I think! And her hair is incredible. She is one of the few people I know who can pull it off without looking butch; she looks classy, even. Whoever thought mohawk could be classy?

Not working. Grace Jones’ and Madonna’s “unfortunate” love child. And,
Chanel would not approve of these gang-not-so-bangin’ pearls. Who knows? With her lighter face makeup, it might be another of her iffy “homage”-to-MJ outfits she’s been wearing lately. Either way, Rihanna’s beautiful – she’ll find her own identity.
