Quote Of The Day: Kristen Stewart Hates Fame
“[Robert Pattinson’s character in “Twilight”] is actually a really good parallel to fame. As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life—fame is the same. [...] I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie. Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive.”
— Kristen Stewart tells BlackBook what she really thinks about fame.

All she does is whine and it’s so annoying! I agree that the paparazzi is a little excessive with their coverage of her but if she didn’t want that she shouldn’t have gotten into the business.

She is starting to look strange. She is starting to become a little bit of Jennifer Jason Leigh.

I feel like it’s the equivalent of a doctor whining about the long hours they work. Yes, it sucks to work longs hours/have to deal with paparazzi, but you knew what you were signing up for when you got into it! No one should go to Med school thinking it’s going to be a breeze and they’re going to have so much free time, and no one should try and be a big shot actress if they’re not ready for the fame that comes with it.
That being said, I kind of loathe paparazzi. They just seem like scumbags, and I know I would hate to be stalked by them and have cameras shoved in my face.

So..she loves doing film and acting, but she doesn’t love being hounded and all the excessive attention, and she’s vocal about it. The latter should overrule the former and she should just go find another profession? That’s awesome advice everyone.
She just wants to do movies and not be in such a whirlwind of craziness. Granted, maybe Twilight wasn’t the best idea if that’s what she wanted, but how was she to know it was going to be SO big?
It’s sad that the general consensus seems to be “if you don’t like the paparazzi, go do something else!”. I have no clue what she’s going through because I’m not in that life. I wonder how many of you, if acting was your passion and film your favorite medium, would be able to handle the paparazzi and the incessant fans and “just grin and bear it.”

I actually like her, and think she’s gorgeous and talented but seriously Kristen? Boo f*cking hoo. I HATE when celebrities say they “love acting but haaate all the attention, poor lil me”. It’s possible to act without the fame, if that’s what you want!

I have to comment that, while I in no way feel sorry for her, I think people are being a tad too harsh here.
The obsession that we have over celebrities IS a little bizarre- why shouldnt she be able to comment on that?
That said- she could try NOT doing magazine covers if she doesnt want more attention…

I’m trying very hard to sympathize with actors/actresses who complain about papparazzi and media attention but I just can’t muster even an iota of pity.
No one is famous accidentally.
Actresses like Angelina Jolie and Kristen Stewart knew what they were getting into, or at least they should have. They made a choice, in fact they probably had to go through years of hard work and rejection just to make it into this business and actively sought their careers out. Fame didn’t fall into their laps (even Paris Hilton had to work just a little for her fame/infamy). They’re not victims!
Maybe she really loves acting. Fine, do Broadway, do plays. But you wanted to get the big bucks and become a Hollywood actress. GG, now deal with it.
Rant over, I hope. Sorries for the long post.

This is a stupid comment, but AnitaBath I actually have to disagree and say most doctor’s do NOT know what they are getting into at all. You can tell someone they will 80-100 hrs in the office and 30 hrs at a time without sleep but to actually do it, especially after life happens (they find a wife/husband and children) is *completely* different. Just some personal experience.

Oh, I should add that Kristen probably had no idea what she was getting into either. I mean, you know you may have followers and be famous, but to actually EXPERIENCE it and the drastic lifestyle change that comes with it can probably only be completely understood after the fact. I empathize with her.

Desolate is the perfect word to describe any interview with Kristen Stewart.
As much as I’d like to see Adventureland, Netflix doesn’t seem to have a version with Kristen edited out.
