Quote Of The Day: Kate Gosselin Wonders Why Her Kids Are Acting Out

Kate Gosselin

“I’m trying to give them the grace to see, if they’re acting out of line, I’m trying to look deeper into why that is. Why the kids are acting out. Cause it’s all inter-related. I mean, they don’t see it, but it’s all interconnected.”

Kate Gosselin talks to Vanity Fair about the interconnectedness of, you know, fame-hungry parents who bad-mouth each other to the media every chance they get and their kids having issues.

Eh, doesn’t rate a “Quote of The Day.” She’s not wondering why the kids are acting out, she says it’s cause of the split.

Of course she’s not going to say the show is bad for them. Instead she said the fact that they wouldn’t be filming upset the kids, cause they’re all attached to the film crew.

Am I the only one who is tired of hearing about them, and would really like them to fade into the background?  These poor kids should have a chance at a somewhat normal life- parental bickering aside, they should at least be able to deal with all that out of the eye of the public.  It’s unbelievable how petty (and greedy) spouses can be and totally ignore what’s best for the kids.

I’m probably the only one, but seriously, I don’t think that the show is bad for them. They get filmed doing stuff I would have loved to do when I was little- they have all these amazing activities like going to Disneyworld, riding trains, baking cakes, whatever. I’m assuming they’re relatively protected right now from what their parents are saying, but there are plenty of kids who hear that kind of stuff and worse from their parents directly. At least they’ll have a big pile of money to go cry into when they grow up.

I only watched that show a few times (before all of the drama with Jon and Kate splitting), but I always thought she was a cold and bitchy mother.  If she acted that way in front of the cameras, I’m sure she was 10x worse when they were off.  Those kids don’t have a chance.

Wendy, your paraphrase of the quote was spot on and awesome.

When all is said and done, I wonder if they’ll attend her funeral when they’re grown?

The kids don’t act up, the parents do!!! From time to time the kids did go nuts, only becasue they saw their Mom go completly war like on Jon becasue he went rollar blading down the street or that he used the wrong rubber bands on the girls, or he didn’t jump high enough when Kate barked at him to take the kids potty, no wonder she is concerned about the kids acting up, duh!!!

When will Kate realize that 5 year olds don’t need to wear bibs!! they are in school now and how sad that she puts more emphasis on her laundry than her kids growing up.  she probably has the highes quality SETS of waher and dryers do do the chore for her, then someone comes in a folds it someone else puts it away for her, how lazy can she get.
