Quotable: Amanda Peet Doesn’t Think Jennifer Aniston Should Be A Beauty Icon
“I mean, someone with a figure like Jennifer Aniston has a trainer, a cook spinning out some version of the latest diet, and probably a stop at the tanning salon. Then teenage girls go, ‘God, I wish I could look like that.’ Maybe they wouldn’t if they knew what it took.’”
—Amanda Peet on how much work it takes to have a figure like Jennifer Aniston in Parade [Showbiz Spy]

I agree with her quote. Totally true.

what a stupid comment! Why would you pick her out of all the stars, except for the fact that she is a natural pretty woman. She is in a industry that requires her to look her best. She is the girl next door. I would much prefer my daughter to aspire towards Jennifer Aniston then lady gaga or miley cyrus.
Jennifer is a smart pretty hard working woman who also gives alot of her time to charities. Pick on someone else. Jealousy isnt becoming.

I agree as well. I mean, we have to give stars some credit, because they have to be beautiful to start with for all this stuff to work, but if you have to have fake tans and someone else planning your diet and workout sessions, I think it does take away some of the “beauty.”

Well I guess you didnt like my other quote. I suppose this comment area is only for those that agree. I mean really do you think Jennifer Aniston is a bad example for teen age girls. She is a healthy 40 year old woman that maintains her figure. Sure she worksout and watches her diet. What is wrong with that as an example to young teenage girls. Since we have an obesity problem in the US, I would prefer her to be an example compared to so many of the younger stars who suffer with eating disorders.
And besides being healthy, down to earth person, she is talented and gives much of her money and time to many organizations. I say hooray for Jennifer Aniston. I hope this is a better way to put my comment, so that you dont not print this one also.

I just don’t get why she chose Jennifer Aniston, of all people. None of the teenage girls I know think she’s very attractive. including me.
