Sherlock Holmes Movie's Release Date Has Been Changed To 2010
  • Rumor has it, Brad Pitt will arrive in London tomorrow to begin shooting the role of Moriarty in Guy Ritchie‘s “Sherlock Holmes.” This means the film’s release will be pushed back to 2010. But the film’s producers told Us Weekly that this report is false, and the flick is on schedule for a December 2009 release. We know where we stand—Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr. and Brad! This trifecta would definitely help Guy atone for his recent theater bombs.
  • Gwyneth Paltrow was reportedly a terror on the set of “Iron Man 2,” according to a source, who added: “She’s just a step above professional, too snobby.” [Dlisted]—Someone felt threatened by Scarlett Johansson, I bet.
  • Malia and Sasha Obama were fast-tracked into the Grand Canyon Jr. Rangers program because they only had one day to visit the national park while vacationing with their parents over the weekend. [TMZ]—Oh, the perks of being a first kid, but, then again, they probably have to pretend to like this stuff even if they’re not outdoorsy types.
  • Check out photos from the “Mad Men” Times Square Bash last night. [TrèsSugar]—Who knew dressing like your favorite TV characters could be so much fun? Oh yeah, we did.
  • Are you tired of fighting with your mate without any real resolution? Well then arm yourself with these nine statements the next time you go to war. [Your Tango]—Um, only eight of these apply to me because even when I’m wrong, I’m right ... now if only my ex could understand that.
  • Lisa Marsh’s American Fashion Cookbook attempts to dispel the myth that fashion types subsist on cigarettes, coffee, diet soda, champagne, chocolate, and coke. [Pipeline]

Even though I’ve thought Jude was pretty sleazy since Nannygate, he’s looking mad foxy with that cane there!

The Movie Industry is one of most exciting and informative businesses in the world, a business where the revenue of a single feature film (such as Titanic), can approach or exceed $1 billion. The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, is a Will Ferrell produced film about a bunch of used car salesmen trying to move a lot of inventory over the 4th of July weekend.  The film stars Ed Helms – a comedian who has been on the Daily Show and The Office – and Jeremy Piven, who is being touted as just doing a slightly different version of his character on Entourage, the HBO series in which he plays the super agent and firebrand Ari Gold.  So far, the movie review releases on The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard haven’t been overtly positive, as many feel it’s just a tool to get people to hand over more cash advances for Ari Gold style antics.

Robert Downey Jr has more than enough hotness to satisfy the hottie requirement for one movie without needing Brad Pitt (Jude Law’s Watson mustache makes me go ew). That Holmes movie poster makes me drool, even if it has been photoshopped. I just hope RDJ’s genius acting makes up for any shortfalls that may be in the screen play or directing (don’t you hate when bad movies happen to great actors?)

I can see why Gwyneth might be threatened by Scarlett. When I saw the pics of Scarlett’s scarlet-haired Black Widow character, I though, “hmm, Black Widow is like a hotter younger version of Pepper Potts” since both characters have red hair and are love interests (maybe) of Tony Stark.
