Aw, that’s sad. It’s getting weirder, as I get older, to have actors and actresses that I actually know die. I remember her from the Parent Trap, lol… and Evening. And I love Liam Neeson, so I feel really bad for him.

It looks like there are very conflicting reports when it comes to Natasha Richardson. If she is indeed brain dead and going off life support, I hope her family will consider organ donation. I don’t mean to sound brash, but it would be great to see such a beautiful life contribute to the lives of others, and nice to give an important issue in the limelight.

This is a tough one, guys, and is very close to my heart, as my mom died of a closed head injury after much agony with the decision to pull the plug, especially made hard because there were no goodbyes. Please don’t write Natasha’s chances for recovery off, or anyone else that critically ill, before confirmation. I’m a believer that where there’s a breath of life, however assisted, there’s hope. It’s too early. Her family will announce her condition tomorrow. There’s plenty of time for the rest if it goes that way.

I’m so sorry to hear that, retro chic.
Head injuries are serious business, people—always get checked out, especially if there is a loss of consciousness.

I hit my head slipping on ice two weeks ago.
Ate vicodin for three days while my boyfriend begged me to go to the hospital.
I thought I was invincible.
This was quite sobering.

ClatieK: Thank you… And to bklyniiite and yawl, I mentioned it only because while we already know these public incidences are vivid reminders of how delicate and temporary we all are, but that it can, and does, happen to ANYONE without warning. Appreciate family and good friends, no matter what jerks they(we) can be sometimes—repair it; and to provide hope for those that need it, like Natasha and her family.
