This is slightly disturbing. While most 13-year-old boys are thinking about sports and video games, this one is thinking of how to care for his child. Because he’s a father! Also, he looks like he’s eight. [Parentdish]
To celebrate the second season of “The Real Housewives of New York,” Sephora is giving away freebies. Who doesn’t love free stuff? Plus, you might just see us there! [Bravo]
Angelina Jolie look-a-like and mother of octuplets, Nadya Suleman, has been getting death threats. This, sadly, does not come as a surprise. [AOL]
The Brits must love Anna Nicole Smith. They are making an entire opera centered around her life. [Huffington Post]

The world record holder for longest fingernails shattered them in a car crash. Her nails haven’t been cut since 1979! I think this car crash was a blessing in disguise. [Perez Hilton]

That picture scares the sh*t out of me. The kid may be 13 but he looks like he’s my son’s age (he’s a big 7-year-old). The parents of he and the girl should be investigated for neglect.

I WISH that article about the 13 year old dad was a joke. I feel so sorry for all three of the children involved - baby, mom and dad.

Did this make the news in the UK because it’s pretty uncommon there? We have young teen parents in Detroit quite regularly (12, 13, 14). Sadly, it’s nothing new around here. It’s hard when when you hear the 12-year-old moms tell you they got pregnant intentionally to have “someone who will love me forever” or “to have something of my very own.”

From the coverage here the US are the only western country who have a worse teen pregnancy rate than us in the UK.
But this young is pretty unusual, also certain papers like these stories, lets them rant on about “what this country is coming to” etc
There have been some awful comments from readers like their benefits should be stopped, sterilise them and getting Brown out was another offered suggestion. But that’s to be expected from the Daily Mail.
I just see young scared people let down by all the adults in their lives (their parents allowed them to spent the night together, yet hadn’t told the boy where babies came from yet). Instead of ranting and demonising these children they should help them, educate them and try and stop this cycle of bad sex education and low self esteem.
