Look, as a mom, one might grossly joke about the diaper “patty,” “fresh out of the oven,” crap like that… but at no time does its wafting aroma EVER get confused with a piping hot muffin from the corner bakery.

Maybe I’m wrong but I think she was more describing how they feel and how you take a whiff of them like a baked good, not that they smell like one. But having changed many diapers in my life, I kinda would understand what she was saying, I always noticed that a diapers full of pee (not poopy) had a weird gingerbread smell and maybe it’s because I hate gingerbread, but if you really take a whiff, you’ll get a gingerbread smell.
