That’s Whitney from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10—she’s the plus-size model in the final three in tonight’s season finale. I have no idea if this is Whitney before she was on the show or if it’s a recent picture, but girlfriend is significantly skinnier. I hope this is a picture from awhile ago and Whitney has since embraced her more natural, fuller figure. If this is recent and she’s lost as much as 20 pounds? Boo! Stupid diet industry… [Oh No They Didn’t!]

For those interested in an update, FourFour has some interesting info on Whitney—and that she may have been prodded into becoming plus-size to get on the show.

How is a 6 or 8 plus-sized?! Industry standard is size 12+. She never looked very “plus” to me… maybe they should have just let her be herself.

I totally agree LovesIt. I think the tipster on FourFour is right—her gaining just enough weight to be considered plus size (and by the way I do not believe for a second that she got picked on for being “fat and different” like she said in her interviews) made it so Tyra and Co. could pat themselves on the back for picking a “plus size” model to win, while ensuring that Whitney would probably lose weight after the show and be bookable for regular jobs. LAME.

Wow, ya know I am a size 10 and I do not consider my self plus size! Anyway she looks like she’s in tip top shape in that pic, crap, you can not be plus sized and have a stomach that flat. The 2 don’t go together. The whole modeling industry is really f’ed up…

Evidently she was a size 2 or 4 when she was approached by the show. Because she was closer to a size for they said she was a little too big for the show (read, skinny normal). Though, they told her if she became a size 6 or 8 they would consider her plus-size. Drama!
