Amelia just had a post about remembering details about a breakup, but I remember 9/11 in far more detail, maybe because the personal side of it (I knew people on the planes) didn’t come out until later, and I was just reeling from the non-directly-personal terror.
Eight years ago, and I can tell you what my entire day was like - starting from the moment I saw the reports of the first impact while I was waiting to have my car’s oil changed - better than I can describe the events of yesterday.
Two years ago today, a good friend of mine was raped. So, well, it’s just a banner day.
