“Project Runway” Is Finally Coming To Lifetime, But Do You Still Care About Klum & Co.?

After nearly a year of wondering when and on what channel we’d next see our beloved “Project Runway,” the companies involved have reached a settlement, and the show will make Lifetime its new home beginning with the sixth season this summer.
During the first five seasons of PR, we basically lived for the show. One time, I had it in my head that the show was going to be on at 9 p.m., not 10 p.m., and had to stay at the gym for an extra hour because I didn’t want to miss part of the episode when it finally came on (at its usual time, or course) by leaving to go home. But now that “Project Runway” is coming back, I’m not excited.
All of this waiting has caused my interest to wane, and the show started getting a little lame toward the end anyway, with challenges being repeated from past seasons and each episode having an overabundance of sponsorships that distracted us from the actual business of making clothes. Without Bravo behind the show, will it still be as well-produced and edited? And what about how Marie Claire (Nina Garcia’s new gig) as the magazine partner? It certainly doesn’t have the same cache as Elle.
To fill the hole left by “Project Runway,” Bravo now has “The Fashion Show,” with Isaac Mizhrahi, Kelly Rowland, and Fern Mallis as the judges of somewhat-established contestants from the fashion industry. Really, the only thing “Project Runway” still has going for it are Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum. The two of them are just the cutest, and while we’re pretty sure Mizrahi is going to have some good catchphrases, there is no way Rowland can replace Klum and her adorable accent. [WWD]

So who caught Heidi Klum on ‘I get that a lot’ last night? I thought she was hilarious, I don’t know why I like her so much but I’ll probably watch PR even on Lifetime…

@sklut: she was adorable wasn’t she? Her voice was a dead giveaway though haha. I would probably still watch project runway if I had cable again. Its just a fun show, great for watching with friends. it may be a little bit cliche now, but it still delivers what it promises.

C’mon, Project Runway is the shiz. I certainly hope it’s not considerably worse because it’s on Lifetime, but it’s kind of like What Not to Wear for me; Stacy and Clinton are still there and they’re doing basically the same thing so I still love it. I don’t watch much TV [anymore] but I’ll def get back into PR.

I absolutely adore Project Runway and will no doubt watch but am attached to Bravo. I like the fact that if you miss a show, it is repeated (ad nauseum) so you don’t miss things.
I am extremely curious about seeing The Fashion Show and although we will have to get used to the new hosts, I think that Kelly Rowland will be just as entertaining as Heidi of course, in a totally different way.
I will watch both.

Okay…so like I have said a few times now, I’m 19 and a guy. Is it it a bad thing that I like this show? I like it because it gives me a chance to see what people think about fashion (which I am definitely not savvy about) these days, and because the character dynamic is usually pretty interesting. I don’t watch it all the time, but if it’s on and I have nothing better to do I’ll watch it because it is at least entertaining.
