Photographer Elena Kalis Takes Lewis Carroll’s Classic Story Underwater
Will recreating classic fairy tales and children’s stories in photo shoots ever get old? Probably not. Photographer Elena Kalis took this amazing series of underwater photos in which her 10-year-old daughter plays out scenes from Alice in Wonderland in the clear, blue ocean surrounding the Bahamas, where they live. We’d like to take a trip down this saltwater-filled rabbit hole. [Elena Kalis via NOTCOT]

With a mom like that, that child is going to have the best facebook profile pictures.

I am profoundly jealous of those waters. Gorgeous concept. I’m so glad when photos are done that aren’t photoshopped to the extreme. Elena Kalis is lucky her daughter seems like a willing model. As a photographer it can be tough to get people to pose for you without being paid, especially for shoots that require some creative posing.

First picture one looks like a Stargate.

I like a lot of them, actually.
Not in the AiW theme, but one I also really liked, was the Rock Lobster one.
@xifeng882: Her contact page is here - maybe she sells prints. If not, the best I can do is a direct link to the one you like (albeit in a small 640x640 format).

The first picture of Alice going through the looking glass is gorgeous. I also like the shark/kite.
What a pretty Alice her daughter made, too!
