PETA’s Too Hot For TV Superbowl Ad

Oh PETA. Always gettin’ themselves banned. Above, the commercial that WON’T run during the Superbowl, which features scantily clad women getting horny with some vegetables. Because apparently, “studies show, vegetarians have better sex.” Is that true? Anyway, I don’t really see what’s SO super hot about it, but it does continue PETA’s trend of objectifying women in order to push their don’t eat meat agenda. Whatevs. It did kind of make me want a carrot stick dunked in ranch dip.

How would they know vegetarians have better sex? Is there a study going on with couples carni vs non carni with electrodes hooked up to their bodies while they scrump to gauge their responses? Do they get paid for participation? Might be fun…

Seriously? There are no words…well maybe a couple.
1. The “study” is bogus.
2. Brocolli and asparagus really? A pumpkin? Whatever happened to a large cucumber or carrot?
3. From a marketing perspective, the music and shaky effects of the copy are outdated and lame.
4. So apparently all vegetarians are white girls. Really? Not even one token? Come on!
5. All PETA knows is objectification of women for ads (and throwing milkshakes on Anna Wintour). Like the whole I would rather go naked than wear fur bit? While sex does sell, its sad that such a “progressive” organization can have such dated and small views on how to get their message across.
6. Bacon sounds so good right now…
