Hey, remember earlier, when Jessica joked about not wanting to hear a bunch of news anchors wonking about Tiger Woods—unless it was me on CNN.com? Oh look, there I am. Earlier this afternoon, after Tiger purged in front of a rapt televised audience, I went on CNN.com Live and talked with I Don’t Care About Your Band author Julie Klausner and Terisa Greenan, creator of the polyamory-themed web series “Family,” about the whole debacle. Check it out above.

Well, hello Amelia. Nice to get to see you and hear your voice. Yea, I don't give a crap about Tiger. I watched it because I wanted to see Amelia. :)

Quick! Someone buy a copy of Julie Klausner's book so she can afford a decent setup. Or is she speaking to us from the past?

I can't hear because I'm on a conference call. But I will definitely be coming back to listen. Right now, I'm imagining Amelia is the person on the other end of the phone. It's making the call better.

I was really excited to hear Julie Klauser, but I'm so disappointed in her close-mindedness, not to mention complete misunderstanding of history. Marriage was not created to protect women, it was created as a property agreement between a woman's father and her husband. The idea of fidelity for women is a fairly recent concept only about 100 years old, if that. Personally, I'm with Teresa Greenan. It's all about the agreement you have with your partner. Also, Tiger giving a public apology for this is ridiculous. If you're offended by a complete stranger having sex with other complete strangers, that's your problem.

@Riley, agreed! She's so blurry.I feel like Terisa was pushing her own views on monogamy (or lack thereof) than analyzing the press conference. Yeah, you aren't monogamous, if Tiger was your husband, you wouldn't care. Obviously Ellin doesn't have the same opinion. UGH, I don't like her defending him, though I understand monogamy isn't for everyone.

@Smellory, I agree with you. There's a difference between being in a mutually-agreed upon polygamous relationship and banging a dozen women behind your wife's back. I have an open mind about polygamy, but he was endangering his wife with complete disregard to her health and heart. I saw no love in what he did, for any of the women involved.

@OliviaWonderfully said! You said what I think much more eloquently. I guess that's why you're writing for the Frisky and I'm not. :)I agree that he didn't treat any of the women or Ellin with respect or consideration. These weren't extramarital 'relationships' like Terisa talks about, they were dishonest and unethical affairs.

God, I couldn't stand either Terisa or Julie. Both gave off the impression of being closed-minded, and Terisa interrupted others in the video chat. Not cool.

Also, Terisa's bangs were weird.

I hate when people say its unnatural for humans to live monogamously. You could make that argument for every moral and ethic code we live by. And anyway her argument really doesn't apply to this situation. No one is arguing about whether or not its ok to have an open relationship. He had an affair on his wife with multiple women over the course of many years. If he felt he couldn't be monogamous, he should have talked to her about the possibility of an open marriage or the possibility of ending the marriage. I couldn't disagree more with people who feel sorry for him. Also, I felt his apology was incredibly contrived.

I like the discussion about the personal stuff, but there is a larger issue about the golfing world. Woods has clearly proven he's no Bobby Jones or Jack Nicklaus -- at best he's golf's Pete Rose. But he's not the real problem. The real problem is how professional golf is trashing the reputation of the game for the future. Now, golf is just another source of media stories about illicit drugs, violence, sex, criminal conduct, addiction, drunkenness, gambling, wife beating, scandal, hush-money payments, lying, prostitutes, and narcissistic privilege. Where are the guardians of the game? Doesn't the Tour have the equivalent of a "morals clause"? What will prevent this trend from getting worse? Everyone in pro golf who makes money from Tiger enables and overlooks his abhorrent behavior. News flash, boys: Those guys don't "own" golf, they "owe" it. The 40-50 million people around the world who have played the game year in and year out for centuries don't "owe" the pros respect or privileged lives or anything. Best wishes to Woods as a human and to his wife and children, but "thanks a lot" for giving back to the game with such a lasting legacy.
