I’m currently almost 7 months preggo and I have been eating tropical things nonstop. Anything tropical. I will eat an entire crate of coconuts and pineapples.
why do they always have to post such un-flattering pictures. We know they are normal people, but you could at least be nice and post decent pictures.
and i have no idea what brits means.. i dont think im in loop about dirt..
craving dirt during pregnancy is called Pica and can be related to an iron deficiency. And I swear I am not making this up, it can also be a clue to an underlying mental or physical illness.
okay, i wasnt sure if frisky was just being ‘rude’ to brit or if it was actually something, and i didnt feel like looking it up. Of course im 20, so its not something i really know about right now.
Interesting about the illness part though!
I had been asked about any weird craving for dirt, clay or chalk. I think it means you have a vitamin deficiency of some sort. With one kid I craved rare steak with the other…. Now n Laters.
When a friend of mine was pregnant a couple years ago, the doctor mentioned she might crave odd things like dirt or cigarette ashes. She said it was a texture thing.
I crave fruit, especially watermelon. I had to go to Walmart at 10:30 to get some because I wouldn’t be able to sleep unless I had some. I craved Milano cookies the other day, after a spicy meal.
Before I knew I was pregnant, I wanted potato salad, which I never eat. Then I started getting morning sickness…that was it for potato salad. Now it grosses me out.
Yes, Pica is a disorder (involved with the brain and neurology) in which people crave abnormal and sometimes dangerous things to eat. And it is a sign of an iron deficiency (also anemia), because the brain is subconsciously telling the body to eat certain things to get iron, such as rocks, etc.
But on another note, I love onion rings with mustard! I don’t think that’s weird at all. And no, I’m not pregnant, nor have I ever been.
I’m a little over 8 months pregnant, and all I want is breakfast foods: Pancakes, Waffles, French toast, Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs, Hashbrowns, Bacon and Sausage. It’s a really good thing I don’t live near an IHOP. I’d weigh well over 200lbs!

Craving ice can be a sign of anemia. And I think you mean Branston Pickle, a type of relish that’s almost like chutney, popular in the UK.
