New “Twilight” Trailer: This Movie Is Going To Suck (Blood)
Forget it. I am so excited to see this movie. The new trailer for “Twilight” is out and dang, it looks pretty awesome and I’m not just saying that because Robert Pattinson makes my loins burn in the pleasurable way (as opposed to the bladder infection way). So tell me, “Twilight” fans, which of the books should I read in anticipation of the film? I want to walk into the theater with an understanding of the “Twilight” universe.

Def just read the first one Twilight. That’s the one that the movie is based around. You have to read the books in sequence because it’s like a long story spread out over 4 books. So if you read them mixed up you will be lost. And you will understand the movie even if you don’t read the book. But I’m a huge TWILIGHT FAN! I can’t freaking wait!

You’ll want to read the first book to keep pace with the movie. But be warned, the emotional journey you’ll travel will not let you stop with just one book.
I liked the clip. I also like the tribute to the Twilight cover. Anyone else catch that?

Read all 4 books but you have to start with the first, Twilight. Anyways, once you start you will never stop so, BEWARE! They’re very addictive. It’s also better to read the book first before you watch the movie so you will have a better understanding of the characters and the emotions behind each line/scene.

You need to read the first one, of course! As Wendilynn noted, though, you will not be able to stop at one. I bought the book 2 weeks ago at Target, and the girl at the register said, “Oh, you better just buy them all now.” I smiled. Little did I know how badly I would be sucked in. I’ve read them once and started on Twilight again.
Another item of interest, Stephenie Meyer started writing “Midnight Sun,” which is the first book, basically, told from Edward’s point of view. Unfortunately, someone leaked out the manuscript before it was done and Stephenie threw her hands up in disgust and said she quit. So she posted what she had. (The link is in my url above.) It’s about 246 pages. I wish she would reconsider.
Anyway, I began re-reading “Twilight” in conjunction with “Midnight Sun.” It makes the experience even more rich. And knowing Edward’s perspective and thoughts will make your loins burn for Robert even more. LOL.
Enjoy!

I have to agree with Melissa… Its better to get them all now, although you will regret the fourth one. My students talked me into Twilight and I was sucked in. I also recommend Midnight Sun as well.
As far the movie - the first book, for sure. I would probably read the second one, too. I heard they used some of it in the movie.
PS. If you’re like me you’ll like Midnight Sun better than any of the other books. Edward’s POV is just better than Bella’s.

The first book Twilight of course
This movie is based solely on the first book and I’m praying that if this movie is a huge success, the following books will also become movies - New Moon, Eclipse and then Breaking Dawn - love it!!!!!

You absolutely have to read Twilight—- it’s utterly amazing. It’s way better than the movie will be, and that’s saying something, since the movie looks awesome. If you like Twilight—which you will, lol—New Moon next…then Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. No possible way can you read them out of order. Anyways, have fun reading. :D

You need to read Twilight to keep up with the movie, but once you read the first one you will be hooked and have to read the rest.

I don’t know, but I was kind of disappointed with the trailer. It seems very sappy and almost kind of cheesy. I got that feeling when I re-read the series recently. Their love has that very passionate “high-school” feel to it where they forsake all others because they “know” they will be together forever.
That being said, it’s still a pretty addictive series and pretty much any female that picks up the book will be hooked. It’s like Harry Potter meets Danielle Steele. LOL
