In America, July 1st just means four days until Fourth of July fireworks. But to our neighbors to the north, it’s Canada Day! Admittedly, we know very little about Canada, other than Michael Moore has a hard-on for their nationalized health care and Montreal’s strip clubs are bangin’.

Being a nerd and Canadian, I totally have the right to comment here!
I’d take off Jim Carrey and Hayden Christiansen and add the following hot Canucks:

1. Rick Mercer, comedian and satirist extraordinaire. I’d be his beard any day.
2. Callum Keith Rennie (known to most as Leoben from Battlestar Galactica) - okay, born in the UK but raised here.
3. Don McKellar - oh so intelligent and what bedroom eyes!
4. Tamoh Penikett - known to most as Helo in BSG
5. Nathan Fillion - Captain Malcom Reynolds in Firefly - hey, I said I was a nerd!
and
6. Donald Sutherland, Kiefer’s dad - like a fine wine, the man just keeps improving!

Well, being a nerd and having a serious thing for Canadian boys, I’d like to add Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies to the list. Cute (have you seen those piercing blue eyes?), funny, and can play the guitar - I’d say he meets all the requirements to be a hottie.

Hayden Christensen actually grew up around the same place I did, and I know quite a few people who knew him (including a couple of my high school teachers). They all say he was an @$$

Next time we look at Canada Day, look up Theory of a Deadman. Their front man, Tyler Connelly = rocker heaven! They’re becoming more mainstream in the US. Good music too!

Theory of a Deadman is too closely linked to Nickelback. I guess they have Canadian fans and we should be proud of their success, but… I always have an uncontrollable impulse to immediately turn the radio off when their music comes on. They’re the reason I stopped using a radio alarm clock.

@sam04 - too true. I worked one summer at a friend’s music store, and we put all those band names together because we couldn’t tell them apart - we came up with Theory of Nickeldown.
