Miss USA Carrie Prejean Loses Her Crown ... Finally

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, has been dethroned for what is being vaguely termed “contract violations”, but what really sounds like a prissy attitude because Prejean refused to make certain appearances. Keith Lewis, a state pageant director said, “It has become abundantly clear that Carrie is unwilling to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.” The verdict isn’t a surprise, but is perhaps a bit belated considering the nude picture scandal that almost lost her the crown last month. Along with her public statements against “opposite” marriage (that’s gay marriage for those not proficient in ditz), Prejean hasn’t been America’s favorite figure. She’ll be replaced by runner-up Tami Farrell. With sex, beauty, lies, and probably a lot of tears, we think it’s only a matter of time before Hollywood adapts this story for the small screen. She deserved to lose her crown as she violated her contract. Its a shame it took so long. Lately it seems like Miss USA, Miss America, and Miss Teen USA pageants all are going down the toilet.

Ding, dong. The ditz is dead. Tralalalalalala. Actually, this isn’t belated, maybe even ahead of schedule. The crown was a thorn in both their sides—holding her back, and the pageant didn’t want to get sued for axing her sooner. Knowing they didn’t have to, giving her all the rope she needed to hang herself. She and her handlers knew she’d have better opps to go her own way rep’ing with the church-circuit, and the pageant can rehabilitate itself. Win-win. Smooth move, Donald.

@Santiago - um, but she IS a ditz. The content of those infamous comments aside, her delivery proved that she is, well, a ditz. If little girls are supposed to look up to her (let’s hope they don’t), there’s no harm in pointing out the obvious, aside from being unoriginal.

here’s what I don’t get—why the f*** doesn’t the judging panel find these pics and the dirty dirt on these women before crowning them? They ought to have an elimination based on all their past trash…but that would be the logical thing to do—and who am I kidding? What’s logical about representing America by crowning the one who looks beautiful?
She may as well represent America; it looks so beautiful on the outside but the past is waaaay ugly.
