Sheesh, heavy much, Megan? Megan Fox opened up to Rolling Stone and told the magazine how she cut herself during her teenage years when she felt insecure and had low self-esteem. She told the mag:
“Yeah…But I don’t want to elaborate. I would never call myself a cutter. Girls go through different phases when they’re growing up, when they’re miserable and do different things, whether it’s an eating disorder or they dabble in cutting.”
Sure, it’s gotta be tough to be a model, like Fox used to be, and get told you’re too fat all the time. But seriously, Megan, cutting’s not healthy! Please don’t suggest that it’s a normal teenage phase that can be “dabbled” in without repercussions. And please talk to a therapist and not Rolling Stone.
Still, Megan Fox cutting herself is far easier to stomach than annoying celebs who flaunt their “edginess.” We get it, we get it. All of us in creative jobs struggle sometimes. But there’s nothing more obnoxious than the “self-destruction is cool!” crowd. We’re looking at you, LiLo.

I have scars on my wrist like Demi Lovato but they’re from a very angry pet rabbit. :0/

kw123- same here but replace pet rabbit with neurotic cat.
I’m not sure.. some of these don’t look like they an be made by an angry rabbit or neurotic cat.

Are Taylor Momsen and Demi Lovato confirmed cutters? Seems like you are just speculating, perhaps its best to leave them out of this list until they are confirmed as cutters.

myspace.com/towriteloveonherarms you can follow them on facebook and i think twitter.
from the facebook site:
“To Write Love On Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.”
i have a niece who cuts and her family (she is my ex husbands sister’s daughter) has serious suicide issues. i am afraid she will end up like her great grandmother and great aunts.
she has a loving family, friends, succeeds in the after school activities of her choice, dates, and has much of what any teen girl should or could want.
she just has the bad genetic accident of having bad mental health genes.
if celebs come forward with cutting or any other mental health issues & speak about recovery, it may help destigmatize these issues and encourage others to seek treatment.

I agree, referring to it as “dabbling” as if it’s some fun experiment is silly. Especially for an eating disorder. That can kill you. I had friends in high school who cut themselves. It wasn’t that big of a deal, but it’s definitely not healthy.
Lots of girls do engage in self-destructive behavior and I think that was her point.
