I often look at pop stars like Britney Spears, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood and think, “No way they wrote those lyrics or came up with that melody.” Well, my suspicions have been confirmed. A low-profile, 38-year-old hottie named Max Martin is responsible for many, many pop hits—from Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” to Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone.” This Swedish music producer is credited with being the biggest songwriter in the world and is responsible for making tons of celebs what they are today. Some say he has revolutionized the genre. So, uh, why have we never heard of him?
Martin lets the artists get all of the fame and has only done two interviews in the past ten years. Interestingly, he started off as the frontman for a glam rock band called “It’s Alive.” But he slipped out of the limelight, taking a job at Cherion Records on the production and songwriting end of things. Now, he works at Maratone Studios and is often described as a chameleon, not only because we never see him, but because he is excellent at melding himself to fit the artist’s image while incorporating his rock roots. Guess you weren’t a big boy band fan back in the Nsync day. I heart Max Martin and all the pop songs he’s created. I hadn’t really been up on his songs for a while until I looked into who wrote Kelly Clarkson’s My Life Would Suck and then I was like, Oooh Max Martin is still around?!

Megan, you’re right. This is Martin Henderson, not Max Martin. Martin Henderson was in Bride and Prejudice (cute Bollywood adaptation of Pride and Prejudice). I have no idea what Max Martin looks like…

I knew he was a hottie because in Nick Carter´s Now or Never DVD he´s recording with Nick, but 38??? I though he was so much older… he´s been around forever!!! I mean He´s the major songwriter for the Bsb, Britney, nsync all in the 90´s… I´m in love with Max Martin.
